My first BBC job was at BBC South as a graphics assistant and a floor manager back in 1995. My family are mainly from Dorset and I studied at Salisbury College of Art (now Wiltshire College) so Southampton was the natural region to start at.
In the Antarctic
Since leaving Southampton I went on to work in most areas of television doing various jobs including location managing, researching, producing and now presenting and reporting.
I made a name for myself on screen whilst working at Newsround for 7 years.
There I had the opportunity to cover events all over the world like two Olympic games, the Venice film festival and making a Newsround Extra in Antarctica to name just a few.
The Wonderful World of Wierd
While I was at CBBC I also made a show called The Wonderful World of Weird.
It's still being repeated which is one of the reasons kids still recognise me even though I left Newsround in 2008.
