James Cudmore, the well known CBC TV journalist who covers defence and government, is now working for Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan.

No word yet on his specific job but Cudmore said on his Twitter feed that today is his first day on the job. Cudmore noted in his profile that he works on “defence policy.”

Update: Sajjan’s office is not commenting but DND sources say the job is labelled as a “senior policy advisor”…..that will give Sajjan’s office the flexibility to use Cudmore on a variety of issues, including on media strategy.
